Hey guys! This is the first pattern I’m offering on my site and I am just so excited! I decided to keep it simple and share a basic hat pattern. This pattern is perfect for a new knitter learning to work in the round (check back for a tutorial with circular needles.) and works up quick for those of us who have limited time.
This year I want to make as many hats as I can to donate at the end of the year. As a slow knitter a hat can take me hours and hours (and hours) to make. Turns out I don’t have that kind of time (who knew?). The solution was so simple. BIGGER needles and BIGGER yarn with a basic knit hat pattern. I did the math and worked the gauge out and I can complete a toddler size hat in about an hour. That’s so fast for me!
Below is the pattern for my Simple Bulky Hat. You can get creative with color or leave it simple. I want to challenge you to make a few and donate them next fall! There are plenty of organizations that could use them (don’t forget about your local school).
You can download the PDF here: Bulky Hat Pattern and stash it..
