A paper cutout effect is created by adding an inner shadow to a shape, text, or image. Adobe Illustrator does not have an innate tool to create an inner shadow. Why this was left out I don’t know because a lot of people ask how to do it. I have tried a few ways to create a paper cutout effect and I think I found the easiest way to do it. This does not require you to mask anything or make multiple layers to achieve the effect. I created the shortest tutorial on Youtube today to share with you. It will only take a minute and you will have another tool in your Illustrator tool box.
I am new at creating videos so please bare with me. I would love to see what you do with this effect. You can find me on Pinterest, Instagram, and now Youtube. Tell me how easy this trick is!
